Toyota a Brand well known for its
quality recently tested their first ever driver-less car on a Highway & has
now became most recent car producer to have tested its driver-less can on a
public road.
Car which is an upgraded version of
Lexus GS was recently tested quiet easily performed a wide variety of automated
maneuvers on Tokyo’s Shuto Expressway which included functions such as entering
the highways, Changing Lanes & keeping a safe distance for other vehicles.
Toyota provided an insider view of
the car by saying that this highly anticipated car Car is equipped with
advanced sensors that are able to efficiently detect nearby vehicles &
hazards alongside selecting suitable routes & lanes which is entirely
destination based.
Company further revealed that based
entirely on input car will automatically operate all features such as steering
wheel, accelerator, breaks etc just like a normal person. However till this
point car can only handle straightforward driving conditions of main roads.
Toyota confirmed that their main
focus is to launch all these relative products by 2020 when Tokyo will be
hosting the Olympic Games.
